My trip to Columbus was great!!

I was able to see my sweet daughter!! We had a great time at my nephew's birthday bash! Then we snuck away to visit our favorite Italian restaurant, Deorio's ,located in Columbus. They sold me a bottle of their secret house dressing. I told them I wish I were still a Cop because maybe I could send their salad dressing to the crime lab and find out what the ingredients are!! LOL

This is my other nephew that came for the party. He's a cutie isn't he?!!

This is the birthday boy, he is 5 years old!

This is his massive birthday gift pile! Mom and I each paid over $20.00 for remote control cars for the guys...they played with them 8 minutes and abandoned them!! LOL

This is before he opened the gifts. There were so many gifts on the floor even! My sister in law did a great job of hosting this party. She is very organized and everything seem to go according to her schedule. I had a great time seeing my brothers and my mama too!!

The guest ate pizza first, then cake and ice cream! Then they played in the swimming pool and outside games. They had a great time.

My trip home was good. I always get a little sad when I have to leave my family but it was so good to see them all. To comfort myself I stopped off at The Land of Cotton, antique store. I bought a tiny cobalt blue bottle for my collection and a red and white bowl from Homer Laughlin...it made me feel a little better LOL

Hey Y'all! I hope you have a great weekend. I am traveling to Georgia for my nephew's big 5th Birthday Bash! I get to see my mama and my other brother and my daughter! So I am pretty excited about this trip. Pray me some safe travels! I will bring back some pictures! Have a wonderful weekend!!

For me????

I am so excited about this! My guys at work have been working on a beautiful outdoor coffee table for my patio. It is made from Cosmic Black granite and it is amazing. I am only giving you a small picture of what the granite looks like, but I will post a picture of the actual table when it is complete! It is so beautiful!! I hope to have it by next week. I just couldn't wait to tell you!!

Also so there is no misunderstanding; they are not really my guys but they are the guys I work with LOL

Hotter than a Garlic Sandwich!!!

I just don't remember the Summers being so hot. I know it is just the 2nd day of official Summer but it has been hot for a while now in Florida.

**I don't know who to give credit for on the picture but it is spot on!!**

I tried to find some yard sales on Saturday and only found 3 with absolutely no grand finds :(

I stayed inside the rest of the weekend, electing not to push my luck with the heat, so it was an uneventful weekend. Except for church, that was good! I hope all of you have a great day, remember to drop a few ice cubes in Fido's water bowl and drink a few extra waters yourself!!

Look how pretty!

I found the round plates at Scavengers, my favorite antique/junktique store in Panama City Beach. I have had them for months now. There were only 2 of them. They have bronze rust colored chargers under them. The square plates were found at Pier One, there were only 2 of them! The robin's egg blue is in the square plate and the round plate...
So the idea hit me to pair them up and I think the result is so pretty!

The rust colored napkin shakes it up a bit. What do you think?

The gray glasses come from Kohl's. What do you think? Let me know if I am off base here!

Blue Willow Jack Pot

Ladies...Life is good!!8 plates, 4 saucers, 3 bowls (I already have the rest to complete the set!!!) for $10.00 Normally folks want almost $10.00 a piece for the dinner plates! I am still excited about this!!
I found some other things at yard sales on Saturday but this was my favorite I have to tell you! You will see a table setting in the next few weeks! Hope your weekend was awesome!! Love Lilly

Ah! Why I nevaaah!!

Look at my pretty table! That green glass just POPS. It is way to thin but it is so pretty! I friend teased me about decorating my table and I thought to myself "Why I nevaah (thick southern draw here for emphasis on never) would dream of not setting this beautiful table!" She's a nice lady but I wonder about her upbringing LOL (Miss Janice you know what I am saying!!)LOL

Here is a picture of some of my teapots! Don't they look regal? The crochet piece came from an estate sale. It is so beautiful!

I am praying for good weather for tomorrow's yard sales.

I have a special box for items that I am donating to the Rescue Mission for their apartments that they have set up for people trying to get off of the streets and get back on their feet. Isn't that a great idea! I have been rareing to get back to the hunt of a great yard sale find...how long has it been 2 weeks since I contributed to the economy? LOL I am coming back strong girls! I will hopefully post something wonderful on Monday.
