Wanted to share a few pictures

Isn't this the cutest sign? I am waiting for my Boaz!
And the cupcake was divine!! Great idea! However, AFTER eating the cupcake, I realized I really need to focus this coming year on getting healthier. I rarely exercise anymore and looking back I did feel better after exercising...so It's on the 2009 List to a better me! My sister in law looks younger and slimmer every year (my weight is something I have battled all of my life) so she inspired me (the rest of the inspiration kicked in AFTER that cupcake!) I just noticed a walking park near my new house, so I should probably start there...the fire station is right around the corner in case I need CPR!! LOL
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. It was so good to be near my family!
Check out the next generation...
Do not be alarmed! These are good guys and promised not to shoot...only to say "Freeze or I'll call my Dad!"

My nephew Elijah. He took the tape measure and said "Yep! You weigh 107 lbs." I smiled and said "Yep! You could possibly be my favorite!" He is such a doll!

This is my nephew Mannaseh (pronounced mannasa) I think he likes his truck!! Can you believe the cute kids in this family?
Have a wonderful day!

What are your resolutions??

I want to lose weight LOL...start budgeting better...start writing a Christian book, start an ETSY account and learn how to do Calligraphy. Tell me about yours!! Have a great day!!!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas again Friends! I am off to Mama's house in Pascagoula, Mississippi. I am excited I get to see my family. We all live so far apart it is a treat to get to see everyone!! Please remember to say a kind word to a stranger during the season. So many people are a lone and lonely during the holidays! A smile or a kind word can go very far in someone's life.
Pray for me on my trip. It is about 4 hours from here (If I don't stop at any antique shops LOL) talk to you when I get back. God Bless you All!!
Love Lilly

This is my coffee table. (I'm so busted with the store bought cookies and candy.)
My diet begins right after Christmas dinner at Mama's!
This Christmas season I have not been the ususal Martha Stewart clone. I guess the move, bounced me out of my routine. I just realized I didn't send out Christmas cards!! I'll buy some after Christmas on sale for next year!
I moved "Laurie" off the bar and she looks cute on the little table!

Merry Christmas!

I love this picture of my kids, they were so little and sweet! They are still sweet (most times) I bought the telephone for $5.00 at a yard sale, it is one of those old heavy phones! I had seen one exactly like it at an antique store for $35.oo, so I did good! The little Christmas arrangement is a candle holder from my Grandmother and the other things I purchased at different times. Makes for a pretty side table arrangement. Don't you think? Have a great weekend friends!

Christmas Table and hutch

Lilly's Christmas Table! Ta Da!!!
Here's my White silvercrest Fenton pieces! I only use them at Christmas! Aren't they beautiful! I changed on the 2nd picture and moved the fruit bowl and added a cherry wreath and bowl in its place. It looked more height appropriate!

Pretty Christmas table!! My last place did not have a dining room! How barbaric!! The hutch had to go in the Living room and the table alone in the kitchen slash eat in area. Now they are together and I am doing the happy dance in my seat!!! Thank you Jesus!!

Up close and pretty! I put the fabric in front of the glass on my dining room hutch and it is not permanent so I can change it out if I prefer!!

I don't remember who I "borrowed" this idea from but Thank you!! Oh now I do it was Carolyn from Canada!! http://warrengrovegarden.blogspot.com/2008/12/few-changes_17.html
she has the most amazing home! Please go and visit her! You will fall in love!!!

I did get a little rest last night. I guess I am just the kind of person who can't fully rest until everything is in it's place LOL
I didn't realize how much stuff I had until I packed it and moved it and placed it. Good Grief! But it will be worth it when it is all done! I want to give you a house tour when it is all placed!! Thanks for all your prayers and kind words!!

Hello Friends!

This picture reminds me of my daughter!!! I do not know who to give credit to but it is priceless!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to an Antique Mall Saturday and did a little retail therapy, so I feel better. Had some surprise company Saturday , and then Sunday after church I cooked for our Church Christmas dinner. I took 2 dozen stuffed eggs (I know they are called Deviled eggs but come on! We were at church LOL), potato salad, cucumber and onion salad, Lima beans , baked beans and a Pig Lickin' cake (it's a manderine orange cake with pineapple, cream cheese and whip cream frosting) one lady at church told me it was sinfully delicious... hope I am not in trouble with the Big Guy!!! Anyhow everyone is suppose to bring 2 side dishes and a dessert, but normally there are some people who can't or won't so I try to bring extra. It's better to have too much at a church social than not enough! Anyhow it was a great success. I was so tired last night I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. Today I promised myself I would rest after work, so I came home and took a short nap, then got up and decorated my dining room table for Christmas and started working on the guest bath (Snowmen in there Miss Laurie!!) I'll post some more pictures soon! Have a great evening!! I'm off to rest again!!

More Blessings!

My mama gave me this sign! I love it and try so hard to live my life for the Lord!
I love this Armoir. I paid $12.00 for it at the end of an Antique Auction...noone wanted it but me!! Oh I am busted by the box on top LOL, guess I am still unpacking!!

The Santa, the dog and the big Snowguy belonged to my grandmother. The others are mine. Isn't this cute?

Here are my highest accomplishments...my children!

Santa's making his list! Are you on it?

Pretty White Christmas tree! What do you think?? Santa may have to be taken off the top but I don't know what to use instead...any suggestions?
Here are some of my snow men collection! I love them!

Look Laurie! It's a girl snow woman!! I think I 'll name her after you!!

These are some of my grandmother's ornaments that I couldn't part with! I miss her so much! Especially at the holidays! She was a great lady, who taught me how to be a lady, how to cook and most of all how to know Jesus!! My mother who loves red birds gave me the table cover, it is actually a tree skirt but it is doing a double duty as a small table cover!! It's starting to feel like Christmas...I think I need some shop therapy for all this hard work I have been doing! LOL

Update! It's coming along well, as you see I have the Christmas lights hung! LOL
Just kidding! I don't even live in a place that has snow!! I am finally moved! I survived!! Thank you for your prayers! Things are starting to really come together. I should be able to take some pictures this week. I put up a tree (first artificial tree ever) but it is white with red christmas bulbs and white lights. It turned out pretty. I am still pretty tired but I feel a huge sense of accomplishment. My son finally showed up YESTERDAY (remember the one I was in labor with for 23 hours), he was astonished! "Mom, who did all this?" he was talking about placing the pieces where they belong...I said " God with a little assistance from me!' He felt guilty and went and raked the back yard for me! hee hee....anyhow I am almost done, so keep those prayers coming!!
God Bless you!

Stressed from the Move

Yes there was some minor brakage, but I said Lord, if it not meant for me to have then I have to accept it...
"Peace Be Still" said Jesus

I can't find my shoes or my jewelry (I don't have any doubt they are here, I just cant find them!)

I still have to finish cleaning the other place I just moved out of...it's not much but still has to be done! The movers (Led by my own son that I was in labor with for 23 hours) just basically set the furniture in the house and left. I saw him yesterday and calmly suggested he stop by this Friday evening and help me "PLACE" things, like the living room furniture and the armoir's that I can't move by myself. He said he was sorry, he thought the other guys stayed behind and put everything in place! I guess it is kind of funny if you don't live there! But I am still praising God for this new place! It has a shed that I can store things in that I don't use all the time ,so I moved a lot of boxes out there last night! It helped clear a path! But friends...I was tired. I went to bed at 8 pm last night and slept until 6 am!! I am ready to begin a new day and feeling better than yesterday! Hey! Thanks for listening!! God Bless you!!
p.s. I don't know who to give credit for concerning the pictures but I appreciate the use of them!

Hello friends! I moved this past weekend! I am excited because it is a beautiful house, but I am impatient and tired and my back feet hurt, um I meant my back AND feet hurt LOL. I am in a hurry to get everything arranged and there is just too many blessings to place right away! So once again, I'm asking for your prayers. I didn't realize how many of those treasures I had until I had to move them! I was just telling another blog lady that my son said in exasperation..."Mama! Every box says FRAGILE...GLASS!!! I smiled and said "Son, that is your inheritance, be careful with it!" He was not amused! Hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon! God Bless you all and Keep writing those great blogs.
