In by 6:30 out by 7:50

Okay, . I outdid myself. I changed the menu slightly.... So I fixed cubesteak with mushroom gravy, white rice, squash casserole, green baby limas, cornbread and sweet tea just so I have all the facts straight. He arrived promptly at 6:30, ate dinner, ranted and raved about how good it was, then told me he didn't think he wanted to see me again. I took it like a big girl and told him I understood that he was confused and hurt from his divorce and that I would continue to pray for him...I even sent him home with left overs and a pie. I told him to keep the containers. I am still stunned as I write this. I am okay, not devastated. It did hurt me a little when I opened the refrigerator and saw the 2 individual banana puddings in pretty wine glasses that I prepared that we never got to eat. His loss...
Anyhow, the dinner was fantastic. I really enjoy cooking, especially for people who enjoy eating! I called the kids and told them I would bring over the left overs this afternoon. My daughter is at my son's for a few days...
I have got to tell you that squash casserole was awesome. I got the recipe from the internet. I altered it just a tad with the bacon...squash fried with onion in bacon grease, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, shredded cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon pieces, mix and top with Ritz cracker crumbs and bake. I will have to take this for Easter's church social!
Have a Blessed day! I am okay girls...you know you can't fail unless you aren't trying.

I cannot believe that a man could do that...just plain rude. I continue to pray for you, sweetie. All that love deserves to be given to some Godly man who deserves you and I am praying that God puts him in your path.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

ugh!
I know that there is someone out there for you. He knows who he is and He'll bring you together when the time is right...but can I just pull Mr. rudeman's hair? Just once! A nice big tug would make me feel better. Hey! I'm only human!

I liked your comment "you haven't failed unless you aren't trying". Did I goof that one up ? I do know what you means, though. Right on.........
