This is a napkin holder but a real shell is holding the napkins down.
Last night I celebrated my Welcome to Earth day with my son and his new girlfriend. They took me to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. My son being the total and complete gentleman he is announced " This my beautiful mama and today is her (birthday)" gasp!", give her anything she wants". So they brought our food and we enjoyed great conversation and then the servers snuck up behind me and hit a pan with a spoon (I nearly wet myself!) it went "GONG!!!!" then they presented me with a pretty dessert. The owner said "Allow me to give this beautiful lady her first bite of this birthday dessert" He then pushed the spoon of whip creme into my nose! The guy behind him said "Oh no! Let me whipe that off for you and has more whip creme hidden in the napkin that he whiped my face with. I laughed the last laugh...next year we are eating Italian food for my special day. LOL What an experience!

Oh my, Lilly....how totally funny! A birthday to remember or...should I say, "welcome to earth day" I like that.
I'm a beach nut and am doing my bedroom so that I can pretend I am in a beach cottage. Like your shells and beachy finds.
Blessings

Okay, I'm laughing. Not sure I would be laughing if they'd done it to me (and I probably would have wet my pants!). Glad you were a good sport about it, and how sweet that your son said you were his beautiful mama! That sounds like the best kind of gift to get!
Your shells are so pretty. I love sea shells in decor. There is just something so calming about looking at them. laurie

Hey Lilly, thanks for the comment in my post http://food-on-my-table.blogspot.com/2009/05/scallion-pancakes-with-ginger-dipping.html Yes it was a typo, and it should read 'thin' instead of 'think', lol. Thanks for pointing that out, at least I know people read my post, LOL.
Btw, belated happy bday to you and congrats for having such a sweet son.
Hi Lilly,
Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you had a fun time.
