Romance (Sigh)

“Love and electricity are one in the same, my dear.
If you do not feel the jolt in your soul every time a
Kiss is shared, a Whisper is spoken, a Touch is felt...Then you’re not really in love at all”

I have to tell you that I have been feeling a little down lately. The holidays are always so stressful for me because I am alone and all of my family members are married...and every year I have to hear the comments: Are you dating anyone? Whats wrong with you? I think you are too picky! I find a way to dodge the comments and questions but when I get back home...it bothers me. My brother even made the comment that " The Pope isn't allowed to date!" (He meant that my standards are too high) but I am holding out for the right man. I have made some choice that were hmmm WRONG...so I decided to let God bring me the man he wants me to have.
But I will admit sometimes I feel sad and wish I had that man in my life now...I try to stay busy to run from these sad feelings (hence all the volunteer work) but sometimes they catch up with me...So say a little prayer for me today please!
p.s. I have NOT been drinking LOL, I am sure this is one of those menopause episodes!!!!

Lilly, I'm saying a prayer. It always amazes me how insensitve people can be (even family members). I know their intentions are good, but if they'd put themselves in your place & think how it might make you feel, maybe they wouldn't bring up the subject of dating. You seem to be doing so great on your own, but the holidays are always hard. Hang in there, and keep your chin up. laurie

Little prayer said for your feelings to perk up and waiting on God is never a bad decision. Good for you.

Hi Lilly,
I am sitting here at a loss for words...I really had to think for a minute before I wrote...I do agree with Laurie...you just do not want to settle and that is OK...life is wonderful and I just know there is that special person thinking the same of themselves and I just know one day you two will meet...and what else "HAPPY ENDING"...I just feel it....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Oh my dear sweat friend! I wish I had a single guy friend to send you! People can be insensitive I agree! BUT I want you to think of something: you are a strong independent woman who doesn't need to consider a mans feelings or opinions (especially when it comes to decorating!!)lol YOU have a paying job which is more than some men out there!!!therefore YOU get to decide where your money goes. YOU have 2 beautiful children whom love you unconditionally!!! YOU can come and go as you please (vacations/visiting/fleamarkets!)You have YOUR own cozy place! Your picture shows YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!Your FAITH is strong and you do good for others! You respect yourself enough to not stay in a bad relationship just to have a man! What I'm saying is there are many women out there who actually envy YOU! Enjoy your freedom, when the time is right it will happen! I tell my daughter all the time "it is better to be happy & healthy alone rather than miserable with someone!!!" Ok I'm done lecturing!!!!lol I'm sending you a hug and a slap on the head!!!lol Sincerely, Jeannette

Hi Lilly:
I agree with Jeannette 100%. My friend, Nancy, is divorced for 20 years now (she was married to my brother) and I am always telling her how much I envy her at times. She travels all over the place, doesn't cook dinner unless SHE is hungry and decorates her home just like she wants it!!!.
Hang in there and wait for the right man!!

Hi Lilly,
I agree with Jeannette also but I have said a prayer for you as I hope you find a wonderful man when the time is right.
On a different note your comment on my blog gave me a chuckle so Thanks.
Take care,
Carolyn

Lilly...

I know how you're feeling. I've been there, too! At the age of 59, I can look back and see where God has taken me from and brought me to!

If you have some time, you may want to read my Testimony. Here's the LINK:

Believe me, I made some mistakes...and then finally waited for God to move!!
